Our 2026 partners

On May 30, the Gutenberg celebrated 37 years of print excellence!

Last Thursday evening, the 37th Gala Gutenberg was held at the Salle de Bal du Marché Bonsecours in Montreal. Over 470 enthusiasts celebrated excellence in print.

The Gala Gutenberg is the print industry's premier event. It highlights the talent, creativity and know-how of its craftsmen and women. “This year, we've put the spotlight on the entrepreneurs who will ensure the future of our vibrant industry. A succession formed of the same dreams and passions as their predecessors. What pride to perpetuate innovation and communicate the impact of our media to future generations!” mentions Lauréanne Houde- Blais, co-president of the Gutenberg 2019.

“I'm delighted to see that so many companies have answered the call! Our industry is truly dynamic, and this Gala proved it once again. Influential people from all over Quebec converged, in this magnificent hall... not just printers but also enthusiasts from printing, management, finishing, programming, finishing, sales, packaging, marketing and much more. In the digital age, synonymous with an abundance of content, print is proving to be an impact medium, as we were able to see from the quality of the pieces presented. The industry has outdone itself,” says Gilles Blais, President, Précigrafik and co-chair of the Gutenberg 2019.

“The Committee worked very hard to prepare this 37th Gutenberg, and was privileged to obtain the support of many partners, including Konica Minolta, our Diamond partner and also Divicor, Canon, Hueneye, Ricoh and Rolland, as well as several industry partners,” adds Mr. Blais.

“For the evening's decor, we wanted to highlight all the sectors of our industry: wide-format, finishing, die-cutting, lamination, display, labels, packaging, fine paper and cardboard, and so on. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank once again the 24 companies who helped create the pieces that enhanced the evening,” adds Hélène Pageau, from ICI and member of the organizing committee.

“Pieces from the flexible packaging and flexo sectors once again took pride of place this year. The same goes for the new L'Audacieux category, with an impressive number of entries! Interest in the Competition and Gala continues to grow, and we're very pleased about that,” adds Stéphane Labrie, Training Coordinator at the CSMOCGQ and head of the Jury.

On this magnificent Gala evening, 12 trophies were awarded to the proud winners. “The Gutenberg Committee was delighted to present the Coup de cœur award once again! Attendees were invited to vote for their favorite piece during the cocktail reception. The votes were counted by the next generation of students, the graduates of the Collège Ahuntsic graphic communications programs, who were present for the evening. The Coup de cœur will definitely be back”, adds Stéphane Labrie.
