Last night, at the Salle de Bal du Marché Bonsecours in Montreal, was held the 44th annual Gala Gutenberg. More than 470 enthusiasts celebrated the excellence of print!
The Cocktail Reception, the Exhibit Hall and the
Gutenberg Awards Ceremony were held in a wonderful atmosphere.
The Gala Gutenberg is the premier event of the printing industry. It highlights the talent, creativity, and expertise of its artisans.
"The Committee has worked very hard to prepare this 44th Gutenberg and was privileged to have the support of many partners, including Konica Minolta, our Diamond partner, and our Platinum partners: Böttcher Systems, Canon, Fujifilm, GMerix, Kyocera, Sustana, Technorol Group of Companies and Xerox. We would also like to thank our Gold, Silver and Bronze partners, who proudly support the Gutenberg", explains Laurence Desmarchais, President of the 44th Gutenberg.
"New companies have distinguished themselves through their creativity and innovation. The Committee is delighted to welcome both very small and very large companies from a variety of production sectors as new participants in the Contest. Proud of their achievements, these newcomers have proposed original pieces involving major technical challenges," says Laurence Desmarchais.
The “Gutenberg Outside Quebec” award has once again attracted new participants to the Contest. As a reminder, this award is presented to the printed work produced in Canada but outside Quebec that received the highest score across all categories. “Enthusiasm for the Contest and the Gala continues to grow, and we are very pleased about that,” notes Laurence Desmarchais.
“I am extremely proud to have had the opportunity to chair this 44th edition of the Gala Gutenberg and to see our industry come together to celebrate the excellence, creativity, and craftsmanship that set us apart.
This evening brought together printers, partners, suppliers, and the next generation in an elegant and welcoming setting, reflecting the spirit of our industry. At the Marché Bonsecours, the Committee provided an exceptional setting to showcase local achievements and talent.
I would like to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to submit an entry and participate in this unique evening. Your commitment directly helps promote our collective expertise throughout Quebec and Canada.
It was a real pleasure to see the next generation present, engaged, and inspired by the quality of the entries and the passion that drives our industry.
Thank you all for contributing to the success of this memorable edition. See you next year!” concludes Laurence Desmarchais, President of the Gutenberg 2026.
